About the Role:

Research and Innovation Division
Innovation Funding Team

Investment Analyst
Ref: ALC1667

Starting salary from £38,784 per annum, dependent on skills and experience, with an annual increment up to £46,049 per annum.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Investment Analyst to join the Innovation Funding Team to support their work in making astute venture capital style investments and supporting innovative businesses in the clean-tech and other sectors to successfully develop and commercialise new technologies, products and services.

Key duties of the role include venture capital style investment analysis, research, due diligence and detailed commercial and technical assessments of applicants to the Low Carbon Innovation Fund, UEA Enterprise Fund and investment readiness programmes and future projects. You will also work with mainly engineering, technology and product development businesses to identify strengths and weaknesses and offer knowledge, experience and contacts to help refine and improve their business.

You will have experience of business planning review and analysis in a commercial setting and demonstrable entrepreneurial thinking, planning and delivery capability. You will be able to meet all essential criteria detailed in the person specification.

This full-time post is available from 5 October 2026 on a fixed-term basis until 31 December 2030.

UEA offers a variety of flexible working options and although this role is advertised on a full-time basis, we encourage applications from individuals who would prefer a flexible working pattern including annualised hours, compressed working hours, part time (0.8 FTE minimum), job share, term-time only and/or hybrid working.
