Job Overview

As a Server - Coffee Shop, you’ll prepare and serve drinks and food while creating a welcoming, attentive experience for customers. You’ll keep service moving smoothly, maintain clean work areas and follow food safety practices throughout your shift.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome customers, take orders accurately and serve drinks and food with care.
  • Prepare coffee and other menu items, following recipes and safe food-handling practices.
  • Keep counters, tables and equipment clean, restock supplies and organise your work area.
  • Handle payments and use basic maths to check orders and process transactions accurately.
  • Coordinate with colleagues during busy periods and manage tasks to keep orders on track.

Experience

Required: You’ll bring practical serving skills, food preparation ability, basic maths, time management and a careful approach to food safety. You should be comfortable communicating with customers and working collaboratively. Your impact: Accurate, timely service helps customers enjoy their visit and enables colleagues to keep the café running smoothly. Preferred: Barista experience is an advantage, along with confidence preparing coffee drinks and adapting to customer requests.

Pay: £12.71-£13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 16.0 – 40.0 per week
