September 2026 start dates!

Sólás currently require Afterschool Club Assistants for the care and socialisation of children with autism and learning difficulties.

Hours available are as follows:

  • 2 days (6 hours) - 5 days (15 hours) Monday - Friday
  • Saturdays 9.45am - 4.15pm
  • Bank Cover (Emergency cover)

All sessions 3 hours for staff inclusive of set up and clean up time. May have opportunity for additional working hours through transport duties.

Weekday afternoon group respite setting either 1.30pm - 4.30pm or 2.45pm- 5.45pm / weekends 9.45am - 4.15pm (AM and PM sessions.)

The role will include supporting the delivery of an appropriate, developmental and fun programme across the Sólás ASD (Autism) Clubs, which ensures maximum engagement and participation of children and young people with autism / additional needs. Group respite setting either 1.30pm - 4.30pm or 2.45pm- 5.45pm.

Successful applicants must have at least 1 years experience supporting children with complex and additional needs in a non mainstream environment.

You could work either indoors or outside, depending on location and the type of activity. Applicants should have previous experience working with children with additional needs. Your work will usually be very active, and will require an understanding of autism and knowledge of supporting young people with special needs. You may be required to do bus escort for pickups and attend team meetings. All Sólás staff must have a ‘can do’ attitude, be enthusiastic and flexible, and commit to ensuring that all children and young people in our care enjoy a safe and enjoyable experience.

Monday - Friday 3 hour sessions / start time 1.30pm or 2.45pm / 3 hour session, transport duties also available per week.
