Job Overview
We are a friendly, client-focused Accountants’ practice based in Warmley, looking for a Bookkeeper or Accounts Assistant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive environment, gain hands-on experience, and develop your accounting career.

We primarily help local businesses with their bookkeeping and accountancy needs, with clients ranging from small sole traders to companies with multi-million-pound turnovers.

You will work with a variety of clients and key requirements of the role include:

- Preparation of monthly and quarterly bookkeeping for clients, including reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records.

- Processing of CIS returns and assist with Making Tax Digital (MTD) submissions.

- Preparation of basic sole trader and rental accounts.

- Communication directly with clients regarding routine bookkeeping matters.

- Provision of support to senior accountants with additional accounting tasks and client projects as needed.

- Payroll knowledge preferable but not necessary

Requirements:

- Previous experience in bookkeeping or accounts administration.

- Proficiency in accountancy software with Xero being preferred.

- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and MTD requirements.

- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to manage your time effectively.

- Friendly, professional approach with clients and colleagues.
