Care Assistant

Pay Rate: £13.30 per hour
Mileage Reimbursement: 30p per mile
Location: Durham
Hours: Full-time / Part-time

Key Requirements

  • Must be eligible to work in the UK
  • Must be able to easily commute to the advertised location
  • A caring, compassionate and reliable approach
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to meet the needs of clients
  • Previous care experience is desirable but not essential – full training is provided

What You'll Do

As a Care Assistant, your responsibilities may include:

  • Providing personal care, including bathing, dressing and grooming
  • Supporting clients with mobility and physical activities
  • Preparing meals and assisting with eating and drinking in line with dietary requirements
  • Supporting clients with medication in accordance with their care plan and company procedures
  • Providing companionship and emotional support
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential care records
  • Carrying out light housekeeping duties to help maintain a safe and comfortable environment
  • Accompanying clients to appointments and assisting with essential errands where required
  • Promoting clients' dignity, independence, choice and well-being at all times
