Full job description

Avon Park Residential Home has been providing high quality care to the elderly for over 30 years with facilities approved by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) along with fully trained staff who are committed to making a positive difference to the lives of all residents.

We are currently looking to recruit a Kitchen Assistant who has experience cooking and would be willing to step in a cover the chef when on holiday or sickness.

  • To hold a suitable food and hygiene certificate.
  • To dispose of waste correctly.
  • To ensure that all food is used within the prescribed period, with particular attention paid to perishable goods.
  • To contribute in the serving of food and drinks.
  • To assist with washing up of all utensils.
  • To ensure that the kitchen in kept clean.
  • You will need to be able to work every other weekend.
