About Us

At RentalGoods.com, we help customers access the products they need in a fair, flexible, and transparent way. We’re a small, growing team with a big heart, focused on delivering excellent service and treating every customer like a person — not just an account number.

If you enjoy problem-solving, helping people, and working in a fast-paced, supportive environment, we want you on our team.

The Role

As a Part-Time Collections & Customer Service Agent, you’ll be the first point of contact for customers with questions, account issues, or payment challenges, helping them get back on track while ensuring fair and professional outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with customers with arrears via phone, email, letters, and digital channels, providing thoughtful, solution-focused support.
  • Manage payment processing, monitor daily receipts, and follow up promptly on overdue accounts.
  • Contact customers in arrears to agree fair repayment plans and guide them back on track.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, including notes, transactions, and documentation.
  • Support new applications by gathering information and preparing hire agreements and supporting documents.
  • Handle inbound enquiries — from payments to product questions — with empathy and efficiency.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies, payment issues, and other customer concerns promptly.
  • Collaborate with field agents to resolve complex cases and escalate when needed.
  • Ensure all customer interactions comply with regulations and company policies, treating customers fairly.
  • Build strong, cooperative relationships with customers that reflect our company values.
  • Assist with small order placements, deliveries, and ensure all documentation is completed and filed.
  • Contribute to small projects, administrative tasks, and ad-hoc duties to support the wider business.

About You

  • Experience in collections, consumer credit, arrears management, credit control, customer service, or related roles (finance or hire experience a bonus).
  • Clear, confident, and empathetic communication skills.
  • Organised, reliable, and proactive problem-solver.
  • Friendly, team-focused, and motivated to deliver excellent customer experiences.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Flexible part-time hours between the hours indicated that fit around your other commitments.
  • Competitive pay of £13–£16 per hour depending on experience.
  • Supportive, people-first culture with opportunities to grow and develop.
  • A chance to make a real difference for customers every day.
  • Perks at Work - A perks platform offering thousands of unique discounts including grocery shopping, cinema tickets, dining cards, gym memberships, discounts at major stores including John Lewis, Currys and many more.
  • Free parking
