Full job description

Office & Marketing Assistant — Walfinch Home Care Newcastle

We are looking for an organised, energetic Office & Marketing Assistant to join our team in North Shields, supporting the Director of a growing home care company rated Good by CQC and ranked in the top 20 home care providers nationally.

This is a part-time role worked over weekday mornings/afternoons, with hours agreed at interview. No two days are the same: one morning you might be preparing for a meeting with a solicitor's firm, the next capturing photos for our social media, the next helping organise a community event.

What we offer

  • £13.50 per hour
  • Part-time weekday mornings — a consistent, family-friendly pattern, agreed at interview
  • Variety: PA support, marketing, events and office administration in one role
  • A hands-on support role at the centre of a growing, ambitious business — no task too small, no two days the same
  • Full training on our systems
  • Paid DBS
  • A small, professional, well-organised team

What the role involves

Supporting the Director directly:

  • Diary management, meeting preparation and inbox support
  • Keeping trackers, records and follow-ups accurate and moving
  • Preparing documents, information packs and meeting notes

Marketing and events:

  • Gathering content for our social media and newsletters — photos, team stories, client feedback
  • Supporting email newsletters and our contact database
  • Helping organise events, from college engagement days to community activities — bookings, materials, follow-ups

Office administration:

  • Post, supplies, phones and the general running of a busy office
  • The small things that keep a professional branch professional

What we are looking for

  • Organised to a fault — you chase, you confirm, you write it down
  • Energy and initiative: you spot what needs doing and do it, without waiting to be asked
  • A confident, warm communicator — in person, on the phone and in writing
  • Comfortable with technology: spreadsheets, email tools and social media basics; quick to learn the rest
  • An eye for a good photo and a tidy document
  • Experience in administration, marketing, events or a similar all-rounder role is welcome — but attitude and initiative matter more than your CV

Join a Growing, Professional Home Care Team

At Walfinch Home Care Newcastle, we believe care should help people thrive, not just survive.

We help people stay safe, well, active, and independent in their own homes. Behind that sits an organised, ambitious office — and this role is at the heart of it, working directly with the Director to keep the business moving forward every day.

Why join Walfinch Newcastle?

We do care differently.

At Walfinch, we believe great care is about more than getting through the day. It is about helping people stay independent, connected, confident, and active in the ways that matter to them. Walfinch describes this as "Time to Thrive" — and it applies to our team too. Join us, show initiative, and the role will grow with what you make of it.

When you join us, you will be part of a small team that cares about doing things properly. We plan ahead. We support each other. And we want someone who takes pride in making things happen.

Pay: £13.50 per hour

Benefits:

  • Company pension
  • Free parking
  • On-site parking
