Location: Bedford (in person only – no hybrid opportunities)

Hours: Part‑time (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 8.30am – 5pm)

We are a long‑established, family firm offering first aid courses and first aid supplies. Now in our 42nd year, we’re a small but busy office that prides itself on reliability, excellent customer service, and a supportive team environment. This is a varied role combining administration, customer care, and sales. You’ll be an important part of our day‑to‑day operations, helping customers, supporting colleagues, and ensuring our courses and supplies are delivered efficiently. The role is varied, customer‑focused, and ideal for someone who enjoys both admin and sales work. This role involves working as a team as well as some working in the office alone.

We are looking for someone who is motivated to contribute towards business growth, who is diligent, great at admin, experienced at MS Office, confident to learn new packages, a people person who loves building relationships and selling. Bostock was founded by Jean Brown (now retired) and you will be reporting to Joanna, her daughter and the managing director of this family firm.

What You’ll Do

  • Handle customer enquiries by phone and email
  • Sell first aid courses and equipment
  • Process bookings and course paperwork
  • Plan and support upcoming training dates
  • Process supply orders including picking and packing
  • Chase invoices and maintain accurate records
  • Remind clients about expiring qualifications
  • Work collaboratively to grow the business

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Confident and experiencedwith Microsoft Office
  • Comfortable making outbound sales calls and building strong local relationships
  • Good attention to detail and able to prioritise
  • Happy switching between desk work and occasional stock room tasks
  • A proactive problem‑solver who can work independently and in a team
  • Someone who is already based locally
