Now Hiring: Tutors (Year 3 – GCSE)

Location: Beech House, 1a Greenfield Crescent, Edgbaston Village, Birmingham

Job Overview

We are seeking dedicated and passionate Tutors to join our team at Pass 11 Plus Grammar. This is an exciting opportunity to work with motivated students in a supportive environment where education truly transforms lives. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with children and strong communication skills. Experience in special education is highly valued, as we are committed to meeting diverse learning needs.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Deliver hybrid group tutoring sessions (Years 3–GCSE) - 11 Plus, NVR, VR English, Maths and Creative Writing.
  • Develop tailored lesson plans that align with the curriculum and individual student needs.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students and parents regarding progress and areas for improvement.
  • Use engaging teaching strategies to inspire confidence and motivation.
  • Support students with exam preparation, homework, and study skills.
  • Keep accurate records of sessions and progress.
  • Be on-site by 4:15 PM to ensure smooth and timely delivery of sessions.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience in tutoring or teaching (classroom or private).
  • Strong subject knowledge (English, Maths, and/or Science preferred).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with children of varying abilities; special education experience is highly desirable.
  • Organised, reliable, and passionate about student success.
