Do you have a passion for baking?

Do you want to work with a company that values your skills and treats you like family?

Looking to work for a well-established business at the heart of the local community?

Would you like to have your Fridays and Saturdays free?

This might be the opportunity for you!

Why Roses?

We were established in 1971 by the Roses family, and very quickly became a vital part of the local Shenfield community. 10 years ago, Duncan bought the business and has continued to drive it forward with the same family values, providing the local community with freshly baked breads and sweet treats, hot drinks, freshly made sandwiches and lunch options.

Now with a team of 15 front of house assistants, the business is continuing to thrive and provide great customer service to the local Shenfield community. We prepare all our products from scratch, and use locally sourced ingredients.

This is a night time role, working from Sunday to Thursday every week, starting at midnight and working through until 7/8am, but we can consider someone on a part time basis working 3 to 4 shifts per week. You will be working independently, so will have full control and autonomy for production and the kitchen.

You will be mixing, shaping and baking breads, and making pastries, croissants and sweet buns every night, to ensure fresh products are ready for our customers each morning. You will be following recipes and production schedules, managing proofing and oven work.

Previous bakery experience preferred (artisan or commercial)

Previous experience in food production and food preparation, full training can be given

A passion for the craft of baking, and creating high quality baked goods

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads during baking operations
