Senior Administrator (Part-Time)

21 Hours per Week | Clarendon Lodge Medical Practice | Leamington Spa

Are you an experienced administrator looking for a rewarding part-time role with a supportive team and excellent work-life balance?

At Clarendon Lodge Medical Practice , we are looking for a highly organised and proactive Senior Administrative Assistant to join our friendly and patient-focused surgery team.

This is a varied and important role at the heart of our practice, supporting both patients and clinical staff while helping ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the surgery.

About the Role

This part-time position offers 21 hours per week, typically worked across three days, with core hours between 9:30am and 4/5pm — providing excellent flexibility and work-life balance.

Our preferred working days are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, although there may be some flexibility for the right candidate.

The role offers a starting salary of £13.15 per hour, reviewed following successful completion of probation. You will also become eligible for our bonus scheme.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Managing day-to-day administrative operations within the practice
  • Supporting the Practice Manager and clinical team with a range of administrative duties
  • Handling patient enquiries professionally via phone, email and in person
  • Managing appointment scheduling, patient records and correspondence
  • Maintaining accurate medical and administrative databases
  • Preparing reports, letters and documentation for healthcare providers and regulatory bodies
  • Coordinating with external suppliers and service providers
  • Supporting and mentoring junior administrative staff
  • Ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection policies at all times

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking someone who is:

  • Experienced in administration, ideally within healthcare or a medical setting
  • Friendly, professional and confident communicating with patients and colleagues
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Comfortable multitasking in a busy environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic record systems
  • Proactive, adaptable and solution-focused
  • Able to handle confidential information with discretion

Knowledge of medical terminology or healthcare procedures would be an advantage, but is not essential.
