Payroll & Accounts Administrator

Salary: £27,000 – £32,500 per year (dependent on experience)

Leadcare Recruitment is one of Northern Ireland’s fastest-growing healthcare recruitment agencies, and due to continued growth we are now looking to appoint a Payroll & Accounts Administrator to join our expanding team.

We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment where organisation, accuracy, communication, and attention to detail genuinely matter.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership, working to deadlines, and being a key part of a busy finance and operations team.

What Your Day Will Look Like

  • Processing weekly and monthly payroll using BrightPay
  • Handling payroll queries from staff and management
  • Preparing and issuing invoices through Xero
  • Chasing remittance advices and outstanding payments on a weekly/monthly basis
  • Assisting with bookkeeping and bank reconciliations
  • Uploading and processing financial records through Dext
  • Maintaining accurate payroll and financial records
  • Supporting the wider finance and operations team
  • Assisting with pension administration and payroll compliance processes
  • Ensuring payroll and invoicing deadlines are consistently met

You will work daily across systems including BrightPay, Xero, Dext, Microsoft Excel, and internal CRM/software systems.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience within payroll, accounts, bookkeeping, or finance administration
  • Experience using BrightPay, Xero, Dext, or similar systems
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good Microsoft Excel knowledge
  • Ability to manage workload and prioritise deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Professional and confident communication skills

Desirable

  • Experience within the recruitment or healthcare sector
  • Knowledge of HMRC processes including SSP, SMP, pensions, and auto-enrolment
  • Experience working within a high-volume payroll environment
