The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced and commercially minded Head of People & Culture to lead the people agenda across our Residential Segment within the Water Division.

This is a high-impact leadership role where you'll partner closely with senior stakeholders to shape and deliver a people strategy that drives business performance, supports growth and strengthens organisational culture.

Reporting to the Managing Director – Residential, with a functional reporting line to the Divisional People & Culture Director, you'll provide strategic leadership across:

  • Polypipe Building Products (Doncaster)

  • Manthorpe Building Products (Ripley)

  • Salamander (Sunderland)

  • Talon (Reading)

You'll lead a talented People & Culture team and play a key role in ensuring our businesses have the capability, culture and talent needed to achieve their ambitions.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll be responsible for:

  • Developing and delivering a people strategy aligned to business and Group objectives.

  • Acting as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on organisational effectiveness, workforce planning and business transformation.

  • Driving talent management, succession planning and leadership development across the segment.

  • Building a high-performance culture through effective performance management and employee engagement initiatives.

  • Leading organisational change programmes and supporting business growth.

  • Championing diversity, equity and inclusion and creating an environment where colleagues feel valued and supported.

  • Providing leadership on complex employee relations matters and ensuring compliance with employment legislation and company policies.

  • Leading, coaching and developing the People & Culture team to deliver a consistent, high-quality people service.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking an experienced People Leader who combines strategic thinking with a practical, hands-on approach.

You'll bring:

  • Significant experience in a senior People leadership position within a complex, multi-site organisation.

  • A proven track record of developing and implementing people strategies that deliver measurable business results.

  • Experience leading organisational change, cultural transformation and employee engagement initiatives.

  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to balance business priorities with a people-centred approach.

  • Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, with experience partnering senior leadership teams.

  • Strong employee relations expertise and a sound understanding of UK employment legislation.

  • Experience leading and developing high-performing HR teams.

  • CIPD Level 7 qualification, or equivalent experience.

Why Join Us?

This is an opportunity to shape the people agenda across a significant part of our business and influence the future direction of well-established, market-leading brands.

In return, you'll join an organisation that values collaboration, encourages innovation and is committed to helping its people develop and succeed.

If you're a strategic People leader who enjoys making a tangible impact, we'd love to hear from you.

Here at the Genuit Group we recognise and develop the contribution our people make to the Group’s success and are committed to attracting talent from the widest pool. We have a role to play in making the built environment more sustainable, building a low carbon business ourselves as well as delivering sustainable solutions at scale.
