Full job description

We are excited to offer a new opportunity for a skilled Pest Proofing Technician to form a newly established team based in Kensington & Chelsea, London. You will deliver pest proofing, inspection and reporting services to homes and buildings we manage.

You'll be responsible for identifying pest activity, advising on environmental risks, and providing detailed reports while ensuring all activities comply with Health & Safety and hygiene regulations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tackle pest-related issues, including infestations, cleaning, and proofing in residential homes
  • Prioritise and respond to emergency call-outs
  • Make appointments and conduct site visits in accordance with job requests
  • Carry out detailed inspections and accurately document findings and recommendations
  • To write reports for each client at the end of each inspection, advising on work carried out and including recommendations for ways in which the client can help to avoid further pest problems.
  • Deliver proofing works and pest deterrent installations within technical capability
  • Provide clear communication—both verbal and written—to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Escalate concerns and pest activity to line management and relevant teams as needed
  • Ensure strict adherence to company Health & Safety and COSHH policies when handling pesticides

Qualifications & Experience:

Essential:

  • Proven experience providing related services within residents homes
  • Managing a busy diary and organizing own workload
  • Full UK driving license & clean DBS Record
  • Practical skills in accessing concealed access points, making good decorations, carpentry, fire stopping
  • Competent using digital reporting tools

Desirable:

  • RSPH Level 2 Award in Pest Management (or equivalent)
  • Rodent/Bird proofing knowledge
  • General building/fabrication skills
  • RSPH Level 2 Award in Rodenticide Use

The Ideal Candidate:

Not work shy, you’ll be enthusiastic, self starter, organized, detail and results oriented, and confident in dealing with residential customers. Great at working independently and communicating effectively in a team. An ability to assess and manage risks is essential, along with the flexibility and ability to organize various attendances to households throughout the day. We offer training and seeking to develop staff ready for permanent opportunities within service.

Pay: £32,112.00-£35,493.00 per year
