Full job description
My client is a leading pest control service provider dedicated to delivering high-quality, effective, and environmentally responsible pest management solutions to domestic, commercial and industrial customers across Northern Ireland.
As a result of continued growth and expansion they now seek to appoint a Pest Control Technician on a full-time permanent basis. Joining a team of five technicians you will use your problem-solving skills to investigate, identify, manage and eradicate a range of pest problems.
The Role: -
Inspection and Identification: Conduct thorough inspections of properties to identify pest infestations and determine the best course of action. Identify various pests such as rodents, insects, and other wildlife, and understand their habits.
Treatment and Control: Apply pesticides and set traps to eliminate pests following company and regulatory guidelines. Implement integrated pest management (IPM) techniques to minimize the use of chemicals. Seal off entry points and advise clients on preventative measures.
Customer Service: Communicate effectively with clients to explain treatment plans, safety measures, and follow-up actions.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of services provided, including treatment details and pest activity. Prepare and submit reports to clients and management as required.
Health and Safety: Follow all health and safety protocols to protect yourself, clients, and the environment. Keep up to date with the latest pest control techniques, regulations, and safety procedures.
Requirements -
Ideally you will have 1+ years’ pest control experience and hold BPCA (British Pest Control Association) Level 2 Award in Pest Management or equivalent qualification. You must hold a valid driving license as you will be given a company vehicle. You’ll need basic computer skills for reporting and documentation. Have the ability to work in varied environments including confined spaces and heights. Be physically fit to handle equipment and perform manual tasks. Client would also consider taking on a trainee if you have the right attitude and drive.
You will go to various client sites across Northern Ireland directly from home, only calling into the Downpatrick HQ once per week to collect chemicals, equipment and spares. You will enjoy being on the road, using your initiative with quite a bit of autonomy.
Client is offering a starting salary of £26,000, negotiable, plus performance bonus. 40 Hours per week, Monday to Friday. 28 days holiday, Company Pension, Private Healthcare Policy, Company vehicle and mobile phone. Ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
