Full job description

We are recruiting for an Environmental Technician to work at our sites in Braunstone Frith and Enderby. You will be maintaining the sites pest management plans working along site the Operations Team, Maintenance Team and Health and Safety Team. The hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm.

Role and Responsibility

  • Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental (QHSE) standards, including ISO certification requirements
  • Monitor and manage environmental performance across the site, including odour, litter, pest control and general site inspections
  • Coordinate pest management activities, including contractor liaison, monitoring programmes, treatments and preventative measures
  • Complete rodent monitor checks and infrastructure improvements
  • Stay up to date with relevant environmental legislation and best practices, delivering awareness and training sessions to employees as required
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying new technologies, opportunities and solutions to enhance environmental performance
  • Working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to maintain high standards

Essential Criteria

  • Good IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Attention to detail and good communication skills
  • Qualification – RSPH Level 2 Award in Pest Management (Essential)
  • Qualification – RSPH Level 3 Award in Pest Management (Desirable)
  • Qualification – City & Guilds PA1 – Safe Use of Pesticides (Essential – Casepak provided training)
  • Qualification – City & Guilds PA6a – Safe Use of Hand Held Applicators (Essential – Casepak provided training
  • Qualification – City & Guilds PA9 – Fogging, Misting & Smokes (Desirable – Casepak provided training)
  • Qualification – IPAF 3a and 3b – (Desirable – Casepak provided training)

Pay: £30,550.00 per year
