Proofing Technician

John O’Conner Pest Control are looking for a Proofing Technician with a great work ethic and wants to join a very friendly and successful team.

Up to £29,494 per year + Attendance Bonus + Overtime/Commission (Travel times are paid)

MUST HAVE previous DIY/Maintenance experience and be good at practical hands on proofing and repair work.

The successful candidate will hold their RSPH Level 2 in Pest Management.

Working Location: All works would be programmed geographically

Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out surveys to identify pests, the extent of the infestation, and potential entry points
• Proofing potential entry points externally, internally including lofts
• Bird Control proofing including bird free gel, bird spiking and netting
• Developing and safely implementing treatment plans based on the unique needs of each site
• Communicating with clients about the pest control process, preventive measures, and maintenance to ensure a pest-free environment
• Maintaining accurate records of services provided, including the types of pests, treatment methods, and any follow-up recommendations
• Following safety protocols and regulations, ensuring the responsible use of pesticides and chemicals.

Skills and qualifications:

• Willingness to learn and continuously develop
• Be good at hands on practical proofing and repairs
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently
• Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Valid driver's licence
• Must undergo DBS check
• MUST have DIY / Maintenance experience
