We are looking to appoint a postdoctoral researcher to join Department of Molecular & Biomedical Sciences. The successful candidate will contribute to collaborative research as part of the Global Joint Research Centre initiative Development of Innovative Technology for Controlling Aging Based on Primary Cilia Metabolism.

You will be responsible for laboratory work involving human and mouse cell cultures, including primary cultures derived from clinical samples, with a strong focus on establishing and optimising culture conditions. Th e role involves planning and executing experiments to generate high-quality imaging data using techniques such as immunofluorescence staining and live-cell imaging, followed by fluorescence, confocal, and time-lapse microscopy analysis.
You will have:
  • A PhD or equivalent degree in a related subject area
  • Experience in primary human cell culture
  • Experience in advanced confocal microscopy and live imaging
  • Background in biology of primary cilia
  • Strong organisational, time-management and communication skills
  • Enthusiasm and personal initiative to solve problems, a quick learner with ability to work unsupervised
