Are you a reliable driver who takes pride in offering a friendly, dependable service? Allied Pharmacy in Thorley is looking for a self-employed PPD (Patient Prescription Delivery) Driver to join our team and help deliver essential medicines safely and on time to patients across the local community.

In this role, you'll be a familiar and reassuring face for many of our patients, so a caring, professional manner is just as important as safe, considerate driving.

Key responsibilities:
  • Deliver prescriptions and pharmacy items to patients' homes and care settings in and around Thorley
  • Plan efficient delivery routes to ensure medicines arrive promptly
  • Handle medication securely, following confidentiality and safeguarding procedures
  • Obtain signatures and maintain accurate delivery records
  • Provide a courteous, respectful service to patients, carers and colleagues
  • Carry out basic vehicle checks and report any issues promptly
  • Support the pharmacy team with light duties between deliveries when needed

What we're looking for:
  • A full, valid UK driving licence with a clean record, and use of your own vehicle
  • Previous driving or delivery experience (multi-drop experience is a bonus)
  • Good knowledge of the Thorley area and surrounding routes
  • A polite, patient and professional manner, particularly when supporting elderly or vulnerable customers
  • Strong reliability, punctuality and attention to detail
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team
  • An understanding of the importance of confidentiality when handling medication

Please note: this is a self-employed role, paid at £2.50 per drop, covering approximately 20-50 drops a week. Working hours can be flexible.

If you'd like to play a valued role in supporting patients across your local community, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today to join the team at Allied Pharmacy, Thorley.
