- Conduct Halal certification audits at manufacturing sites, assessing production processes, ingredients, storage, and handling practices in line with HCE and Accreditation Standards
- Review technical documentation and production workflows for compliance with Halal standards
- Prepare detailed, accurate audit reports and respond to client feedback within a timely manner
- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline certification processes
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in compliance and auditing practices
- Travel regularly to client sites across the UK and occasionally in Europe
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline including Food Science, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or related fields
- Understanding Halal principles and a dedication to supporting the values associated with them
- Valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle (essential for site visits)
- Strong analytical and observational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
- Professional approach with cultural sensitivity when working with diverse clients
Desirable
- Previous experience in quality assurance, auditing, or food manufacturing environments
- Understanding of food safety principles (HACCP, GMP, etc.)
What We Offer
- Comprehensive training in Halal standards, auditing practices, and food safety
- Professional development opportunities in certification and compliance
