About Us

Virtual Pharmacist is a bespoke, dynamic healthcare service with over 20 years of combined experience in the NHS, primary care, and pharmacy sector.

We deliver pharmacy-led clinical services to GP practices across the UK, supporting high-quality patient care remotely on a self-employed, contractor basis both full-time and part-time.

Our focus is on reducing the burden on general practice teams, enabling them to focus on their patients, practice, and personal priorities.

This is a fantastic opportunity to partner with a rapidly growing company and join a professional network of over 120 clinical pharmacists. As part of our contractor network, you’ll have access to peer support, learning opportunities, and flexible engagements designed to help you grow your skills and impact.

Role Requirements

  • Independent Prescriber Status (preferred)
  • Previous GP Practice experience (Required)
  • Minimum of 2 years Post Graduate experience
  • Excellent clinical knowledge – Clinical Diploma preferred but not essential
  • Commitment to continue to learn and develop
  • Computer literate
  • Strong clinical leadership, communication and interpersonal skills

Role Responsibilities (may include but are not limited to)

  • Provide structured medication reviews
  • Acute medicines request reviews
  • Processing hospital discharge/clinic letters
  • Provide support and advice for patients with self limiting conditions
  • Support Practices to achieve QOF targets as required
  • Contribute to the improvement of health outcomes in long term conditions as part of the multidisciplinary Primary Care Team
  • Other clinically relevant tasks as may be agreed as part of your engagement

Hours are available Monday to Friday, with working days and times agreed in advance to suit both your availability and service requirements. For part-time roles, a minimum of 18 hours per week applies, with hours mutually arranged.

Pay: Up to £30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 18 – 30 per week
