About us

EcomKings is one of the biggest recommerce accounts in the UK. We buy unclaimed airport baggage, Amazon overstock and customer returns, open it on camera and sell it. The account has over 400,000 followers and more than 200 million views across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and Snapchat.

We are not starting from zero and we are not guessing. We know our lost luggage content pulls a 127,000 median view count. We know the three minute videos beat the short ones. We know 7pm is the slot. What we do not have is enough hands to feed the machine properly.

That is the job. You are not being asked to invent an audience. You are being asked to take footage that already works and get more out of it.

What you will actually do

Editing

• Cut short form video from raw unboxing footage for TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook, YouTube Shorts and Snapchat Spotlight
• Work to our house style and our three minute rule for main feed TikTok videos
• Add subtitles, on screen text and cover frames
• Pick sounds that fit and that we are licensed to use commercially

Publishing

• Schedule and publish across all five platforms to a fixed daily posting schedule
• Write captions, titles and descriptions to our platform templates. Each platform has its own rules and we will give them to you
• Build Instagram and Facebook carousels and TikTok Photo Mode posts
• Post Instagram and Facebook stories

Community

• Reply to comments and DMs, and keep the tone right
• Engage out to other accounts in our space to pull followers back
• Grow the follower count and be able to explain what you did that worked

Ideas and testing

• Bring video ideas to a weekly call. We want you thinking, not just executing
• Run trial reels on Instagram and Facebook, one variable at a time
• Report back on skip rate, average watch time and follows from non followers, not just raw views

Library

• Organise our Google Drive so footage is tagged, findable and reusable
• Build a clip library from old footage so we can recut it rather than shoot it again

What we are looking for

Essential

• A portfolio of short form video you have edited. This matters more than your CV
• Fluent in CapCut, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or equivalent
• You understand hooks and retention. You can say why a video kept people watching, not just that it looked good
• You can work on your own without being chased
• Right to work in the UK
• Enough overlap with UK working hours to be reachable

Nice to have

• Experience with unboxing, reselling or ecommerce content
• Lightroom for photo editing
• Canva or Photoshop for carousels and covers
• You have grown an account of your own, even a small one

We care much more about what you have made than where you studied.

The details

• £14.50 per hour
• Part time and flexible. We agree the output with you rather than clock watching, so you can fit it around other work
• Fully remote
• You report directly to Scott, the founder
• Paid trial task before we make an offer
