Full job description

About Us

Rex Studios is a London-based production company specialising in top-quality live stream video, short-form content, and all types of visual media. We are a young, dynamic, and multicultural team who pride ourselves on our creative craft and the quality of everything we produce.

We work with clients from around the globe, including some of the world's leading brands such as L'Oréal, Johnson & Johnson, and many more. As demand for our services continues to grow, we are excited to be looking for a talented Producer / Production Assistant to join our team.

The Role

As a key member of the Rex Studios production team, you'll play a central role in the planning and execution of our live streaming productions, as well as supporting broader content creation for major accounts. This is a hands-on role that sits at the intersection of creative production and live commerce — ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, live environment and understands how to engage an online audience in real time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare and execute live streaming shows from start to finish, including set preparation, theme development, scripting, and post-show debriefs
  • Operate live streaming software and manage the technical delivery of each broadcast
  • Engage and grow live audiences using incentive tools, interactive features, and on-screen presentation techniques to drive viewer engagement and sales
  • Monitor and analyse live show performance in real time, capturing data to feed into ongoing test and learn activity
  • Ensure sets are always production-ready for the next broadcast
  • Assist with content creation for key accounts, including short-form video and supporting assets
  • Develop and pitch creative concepts and show formats to keep live content fresh and engaging
  • Write creative briefs, show rundowns, scripts, and interview questions
  • Produce comprehensive production planning and reporting, including budgeting, invoicing, call sheets, and release form drafting
  • Liaise with all members of the production team to ensure smooth running of all shoots and broadcasts
  • Oversee sample and product management ahead of live shows
  • Ensure workflows and protocols are consistently followed across all productions

Skills & Experience Required

  • Significant pre-production and on-set or live broadcast experience
  • Experience in live streaming production, live commerce, or a similar live content environment is highly desirable
  • A strong understanding of what makes live content engaging — pacing, audience interaction, product presentation, and real-time decision making
  • Comfortable operating in a high-intensity, live environment where quick thinking and adaptability are essential
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate at all levels
  • Production studio experience
  • Knowledge of Canon and Sony camera systems
  • Knowledge of continuous studio lighting
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and/or Final Cut Pro
  • Experience with live streaming and broadcast software
  • Active and engaged consumer of live streaming content and short-form video
  • OBS knowledge preferred but not essential
