Print Production Technician

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Location: NW London

Purlfrost is a leading supplier of decorative and privacy window films, producing and supplying bespoke printed and cut window film products throughout the UK and internationally.

We are seeking an experienced Print Production Technician to join our production team and play a key role in the day-to-day operation of our print department.

The Role

This is a hands-on production role involving the preparation, printing and finishing of customer orders using large-format digital printing equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high production standards whilst supporting the smooth operation of a busy manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operating and maintaining large-format Mimaki printing equipment
  • Preparing customer artwork for production using Adobe Illustrator
  • Managing print workflows and production schedules
  • Monitoring print quality and colour consistency
  • Carrying out routine printer maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Managing materials, stock and consumables
  • Assisting with cutting, finishing and order fulfilment
  • Liaising with customers regarding artwork and production requirements
  • Supporting continuous improvement of production processes

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience operating large-format digital printers
  • Good working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control
  • Ability to troubleshoot production and printer issues
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Reliable, punctual and self-motivated
  • Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively

Desirable Experience

  • Mimaki printer experience
  • Experience within signage, graphics, window film or wide-format print production
  • Knowledge of RIP software and colour management
  • Experience of vinyl graphics or related materials
