Full job description

Senior Videographer, Exeter (Marine, Automotive & Outdoor Brands)

Senior Videographer Exeter, UK. Full time, on site, five days a week. Regular UK and international travel. Salary: £28,000 to £40,000 depending on experience

Reports to: Founder & CEO

The seat we're filling;

Tide is a creative production studio in Exeter making film and content for global brands in marine, automotive and outdoor performance.

This is the senior craft role in the studio. You are the most experienced shooter on set, you own the visual standard of everything that leaves the building, and you have two to three videographers reporting to you who will look to you for direction on both craft and process.

What you'll own

On set

  • Lead on our biggest client shoots, at home and abroad
  • Make the calls on lighting, lensing, movement and coverage
  • Direct the crew on the day, including talent and client stakeholders
  • Keep the shoot on schedule without letting the standard slip

The team

  • Line manage two to three videographers day to day: allocation, direction, feedback, development
  • Set and hold the technical and creative bar across everyone's output
  • Review and sign off work before it reaches a client
  • Bring the less experienced members of the team on.

Delivery

  • Shoot and cut fast-turnaround social content, often delivering the same day from location
  • Build the longer form pieces too: brand films, launch films, cinematic trailers
  • Own kit standards, media management and archive discipline across the team
  • Keep our production pipeline moving in Monday.com so nothing falls through the gaps

What you'll bring

The non-negotiables:

  • Five or more years shooting and editing professionally, in an agency, studio or brand environment
  • A portfolio or showreel. This is mandatory. Applications without a link to your work will not be reviewed
  • Experience leading other shooters. You have directed a crew and taken responsibility for their output, whether or not you had the title
  • Proven same-day turnaround at a high standard. You have delivered finished social assets from location, under pressure, without the quality dropping
  • Native on Sony. FX and Alpha series, and confident across the wider ecosystem
  • Professional experience in our sectors or close to them: automotive, marine, motorsport, or outdoor and action sports. You know why a car reads wrong from the wrong angle and how a hull sits at speed. That is the difference between content that looks nice and content that lands with an audience who knows the subject
  • Fully mobile. Full UK driving licence, current passport, and able to travel internationally at reasonable notice without restriction

Helpful, not essential:

  • Working knowledge of Monday.com or a similar production or CRM platform
  • Drone qualified (A2 CofC or GVC)
  • Strong colour grading, or motion graphics beyond the basics
  • Experience briefing and managing freelancers

This role is on site at our Exeter studio, five days a week. It is a hands-on leadership role and it does not work remotely or as a hybrid. If you are not local or not willing to relocate before you start, this is not the one.

How to apply

Apply with a link to your showreel or portfolio. Applications without one will not be considered.
