Full job description

Photo Booth Attendant — Nationwide Events
About us

Special Events Photo Booths is a fast-growing photo booth hire company supplying traditional booths, magic mirrors, pod booths and the latest 360 video booths for weddings, corporate events and parties. The management team behind the company has a wealth of experience in delivering special occasions.

We're now expanding beyond our Midlands base, and we're regularly booked for events in Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Bristol and other cities across England.

Please read this part before applying

This is a travelling role. It is not the same as our local attendant position. If you're looking for work close to home with an early finish, this advert isn't for you. We would rather tell you that now than after you've started.

You would be driving from our Midlands base to events anywhere in England, typically two to four hours each way. A long-distance event usually looks like this:

  • Load your vehicle with equipment at our base
  • Drive to the venue
  • Set up and test the equipment
  • Run the event (normally 3–4 hours), acting as the friendly face of the booth
  • Pack down, drive back, unload

Door to door this is commonly 11–13 hours, and you will often get home in the early hours of the morning.

What we're looking for

  • Full UK driving licence. Genuine confidence driving on motorways and at night.
  • A suitable vehicle. A good size vehicle suitable and reliable for long distances.
  • Genuine flexibility on availability. We have events midweek as well as at weekends. Saturday evenings are essential, and we need people who can also cover weekday events.
  • Physical fitness. The equipment comes in cases / bags that need lifting and carrying repeatedly, sometimes up stairs or across car parks.
  • Experience dealing with customers face to face. Ideally in hospitality.
  • Basic confidence with computers and cameras. Full training is provided, but you shouldn't be starting from zero.
  • Excellent attention to detail. A friendly, lively personality, you're often an integral part of the event.

What you'll actually be doing

  • Loading, transporting and setting up the booth, backdrop, props and lighting at the venue, then testing everything before guests arrive
  • Welcoming guests, showing them how to use the booth and keeping them at ease
  • Managing the queue so it keeps moving and everyone gets their turn, without it becoming a crush
  • Solving technical problems on the spot. A jammed printer or a camera that's dropped its connection can't wait for someone else to fix it
  • Keeping the booth area tidy and props in order for the whole event
  • Making sure the images are captured properly and delivered to the client
  • Working alongside venue staff, DJs and event coordinators on setup times, positioning and any special requests
  • Packing everything down carefully, loading up and returning the equipment to base

Pay and expenses

  • £13 per hour — and we pay for all hours, including driving time, loading and unloading, not just the hours the event runs
  • Mileage paid at 45p per mile

Hours

Part time, 8-32 hours per week. Events are arranged well in advance so you can plan around them.

Benefits

  • Company events
  • Company pension
  • Employee discount
  • On-site parking

If you're reliable, sociable and genuinely don't mind the miles, we'd like to hear from you.

Pay: £13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 – 32.0 per week

Benefits:

  • Free parking
  • On-site parking

Work Location: In person
