Job Overview

Do you want to be part of a fast-growing, award-winning e-commerce company? We’re looking for a talented, experienced and well-organised videographer / editor to help us tell our story!

Working within an established content team on 3 different e-commerce brands, you’ll be creating industry-leading reels, photos, short- and long-form videos for our social channels and websites.

Working across 2 studios in our 37,000 sq ft headquarters, you’ll be involved in every step of the creative process, from content strategy and guest bookings through to the final edit.

We’re looking for someone with experience, talent and – most importantly – enthusiasm!

An experienced videographer who loves working with others, trying new ideas and pushing the creative envelope. If you’re the kind of videographer who comes up with ideas and executes them with positivity and excitement, we want to hear from you!

***** Please note, this is an in-person role at our office in Totton, Southampton *****

*****This is not a remote or hybrid role *****

Duties

  • Come up with fresh and interesting social-first video ideas that keep our audience engaged, informed and passionate about our brands
  • Film multi-camera shoots in our purpose-built studios, across the business and occasionally on location
  • Shoot on-the-fly, with a range of cameras (everything from Lumix S5 IIs to drones and iPhones), in a mix of formats
  • Edit social and long-form video content in multiple formats for multiple social channels including TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and Facebook
  • Encourage participation from people across the whole business, creating content that shows who we are as a company and what makes us different
  • Deliver precise, elegant product photography for our print materials, online ad campaigns and websites
  • Create compelling YouTube thumbnails, promotional graphics and other digital assets to boost engagement and conversions across our social channels
  • Manage our YouTube Channels and social media platforms in collaboration as part of a friendly, ambitious team of videographers and social specialists
  • Work to brand guidelines, reviewing and adjusting these guidelines as the business evolves
  • Produce motion graphics and illustrations to a high standard
  • Troubleshoot technical problems quickly and efficiently
  • Helping out elsewhere in the business as required (for instance, when we have a sudden surge in sales, everyone in the business helps out in the warehouse).

Requirements

  • At least 2 years’ experience working as a full-time Videographer / Editor, ideally in an in-house role for a fast-paced e-commerce business.
  • High-level knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator and Audition)
  • A social media native, passionate about creating industry-leading social content, with a playful, creative approach to everything you do
  • Comfortable working with a team of talented creatives. You work through artistic differences in a constructive, experimental way, moving on when an idea won’t quite fit
  • Enthusiastic and positive, willing to pick up whatever needs doing to get the job over the line.
  • A confident communicator who can reassure, support and encourage on-screen talent at all levels of experience
  • True understanding and experience of how video works on social platforms and how to leverage that knowledge. This is not a role for a 'traditional' stand-alone Editor. You will be working closely with creators.
  • A problem solver who can look at technical issues and come up with a workable solution on-the-fly
  • Good knowledge of 4k digital cameras, action cameras and drones would be useful.
  • Good knowledge of colour / grading processes and audio treatment.
  • Good knowledge of lighting design, cinematography and sound design
