Full job description

Location: London, UK (Hybrid)

Contract: Part-time contract, 20 hours per week

Duration: Initial 3-month contract with the opportunity to continue on an ongoing basis
Salary: per annum pro rata

Description:

Do you instinctively spot content opportunities everywhere? Are you the person who knows which trends are worth jumping on and which ones should stay offline? Can you turn everyday moments into engaging social-first posts that people actually want to watch/read?

PeopleBunch and Purple Jay Nurseries are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Social Media Executive to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves creating engaging content, bringing stories to life through video, and making an impact through social media.

Working directly with the Founder and Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for producing high-quality content that showcases our brands across multiple digital platforms. If you're passionate about content creation, confident behind the camera, and skilled at turning ideas into engaging videos, we'd love to hear from you.

We encourage applications from individuals of all backgrounds and experiences.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Planning, filming and editing engaging Reels, TikToks, long and short-form video content
  • Creating content for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook and LinkedIn
  • Managing and maintaining social media channels across both brands
  • Producing high-quality video edits using editing software such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or similar
  • Capturing photography that reflects the personality and values of our brands
  • Designing and editing creative assets for social media campaigns and day-to-day content needs
  • Writing clear, engaging captions and social copy tailored to each platform
  • Working closely with the Marketing Manager to brainstorm and execute content ideas
  • Visiting nursery settings and office locations to capture authentic moments and stories
  • Keeping up with emerging social media trends, formats and best practices
  • Monitoring content performance and identifying opportunities to improve engagement.

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • Proven experience creating social-first content, particularly Reels and TikToks
  • Strong video filming and editing skills, with an eye for pacing, storytelling and audience engagement
  • Photography skills and an understanding of how to capture compelling visual content
  • Experience creating and editing digital creatives for social media
  • A portfolio showcasing your content creation work (this is essential)
  • Confidence speaking with staff and children to capture authentic content
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Based in London and able to travel between nursery settings and our office as required

Important Information

This role follows a hybrid working model, and regular travel between our nursery locations and office will be required.

A portfolio is mandatory. Applications submitted without a portfolio will not be considered.

As this role involves working within nursery settings and interacting with children, the successful candidate will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check prior to employment.

Please include:

  • Your CV
  • A portfolio showcasing relevant video, photography and creative work
  • Links to social media accounts or campaigns you have managed (where applicable).

Pay: £1,200.00-£1,300.00 per month

Benefits:

  • Childcare
  • Flexitime
  • Free parking
  • Transport links

Application question(s):

  • Do you have content you have created, which you can share?
