Full job description

Founded in 2014, The Slow Cyclist specialises in authentic small-group e-bike and walking adventures across Europe and Africa. They believe travel should be about meaningful connections, immersive cultural experiences, and discovering destinations beyond the typical tourist trail.

They are now looking for a passionate and organised Digital Marketing Apprentice to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to gain a nationally recognised Level 3 Digital Marketing qualification while developing practical marketing skills within a unique travel business.

Working closely with the Head of Marketing and Marketing Executive, you'll support the delivery of marketing activity across social media, digital content, PR, events, email marketing, and e-commerce. This role offers exposure to a wide range of marketing channels while developing valuable skills in a supportive environment.

A Typical Day in the Job:
Schedule and publish content across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn in line with the marketing content plan.

Upload and maintain website content, ensuring all copy and assets are accurate and published on time.

Monitor social media channels, highlighting customer enquiries and engagement opportunities to the marketing team.

Support the production and coordination of print marketing materials with external suppliers.

Assist in creating and formatting travel guides alongside the wider business.

Coordinate photographers and videographers, managing schedules, travel arrangements, and logistics.

Organise and maintain the company’s photography and video asset library.

Manage the online store, including stock control, order processing, and communication with distribution partners.

Support the planning and delivery of Experience Days and brand events, including ticketing, customer enquiries, and event logistics.

Gather and compile marketing performance data, including website traffic, social media analytics, email engagement, and event metrics.

Grade 5/C in Maths GCSE and Grade 4/C in English GCSE

Salary, Hours & Benefits:
Salary: £16,000 – £22,000 per annum dependant on experience

40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:30pm (1-hour lunch break)

22 days annual leave plus bank holidays
