Photography Assistant jobs

Salary: £28,840 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 8am-4pm

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Capture Studio Photographer to join our Operations / Ecommerce Photography team, creating high-quality photography and video of Clarendon Fine Art artwork for ecommerce, digital sales and marketing.

You’ll photograph original and limited-edition artwork, including framed pieces and detailed close-ups, ensuring every image accurately represents the colour, texture, detail and finish of the artwork.

The role would suit a technically strong photographer who enjoys working in a professional studio environment and takes pride in producing consistent, high-quality work.

What you’ll be doing

• Photographing artwork and framed pieces using professional cameras, lenses, lighting and tethered workflows.
• Capturing detail and texture, including brushwork, signatures, embellishment and frame details.
• Managing studio lighting, reflections and challenging surfaces such as glass and metallic finishes.
• Processing and retouching RAW files using Photoshop, Lightroom and/or Capture One.
• Ensuring colour, exposure, sharpness, alignment and overall image quality meet agreed standards.
• Creating short-form video content to showcase artwork and its physical qualities.
• Managing digital files and preparing imagery for ecommerce.
• Handling artwork carefully and maintaining a clean, organised studio environment.
• Working efficiently to agreed quality and productivity standards.
• Contributing ideas to improve photography quality, workflow and studio efficiency.

What we’re looking for

• Professional studio photography experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of cameras, lenses, exposure and studio lighting.
• Strong Photoshop and RAW processing skills.
• Good understanding of colour accuracy and image retouching.
• Excellent attention to detail and visual judgement.
• Experience working consistently across a high volume of imagery.
• Good organisation and digital file-management skills.
• A careful approach to handling valuable artwork or products.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Desirable: Experience in fine-art, ecommerce, luxury product or artwork photography; Capture One and tethered workflows; medium-format systems; reflective surfaces; macro photography; and short-form video.
