About Us

Home Me Mortgages is a modern, fast-growing mortgage brokerage based in the Thames Valley. We help first-time buyers, home movers, and professionals get the right mortgage with clear advice and a genuinely great experience.

We have a story worth telling, and we need someone creative to help us tell it on Instagram.

The Role

This is a hands-on social media internship where you will own our Instagram presence. You will be creating content, building our audience, and making a real impact on how we show up online. This is not a shadowing role, we want someone who can take the reins and run with it.

At the end of the internship, we will review performance and business needs to consider whether a longer-term opportunity exists.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation

• Create engaging Instagram posts, carousels, and Reels on a consistent schedule
• Develop content ideas that educate, entertain, and build trust with our audience
• Be creative and adventurous with formats, trends, and storytelling — we want content that stands out, not plays it safe
• Maintain a consistent brand voice and visual style across all content

Community and Engagement

• Actively engage with our audience, responding to comments, DMs, and building genuine connections
• Identify and engage with relevant accounts, communities, and trends to grow our reach
• Monitor what is and is not working and feed that back into content planning

What We Are Looking For

• A student, recent graduate, or creative self-starter with a genuine passion for social media
• Someone who is on Instagram constantly and actually understands how it works
• Experience creating Reels, carousels, or short-form video content (personal or professional)
• A creative eye and willingness to try new things
• Organised enough to plan content in advance and proactive enough to spot an opportunity
• Canva, CapCut, or similar tools experience is a bonus, but hunger and creativity matter more
