Job Title: Reprographics Designer

2 Positions

Location: South Wales

Scope of the Role:
The Reprographics Designer plays a key role in the end-to-end development of Design Group UK's product ranges, ensuring all artwork is accurately prepared and production-ready. Working across all DG UK product categories, the role supports the delivery of high-quality products from concept through to manufacture. This position combines strong artwork and reprographics expertise with excellent attention to detail, ensuring designs meet both creative and commercial objectives while adhering to print and production specifications.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and amend artwork files for print and production across multiple product categories including greetings, stationery, décor, home and office and activity products.
  • Create accurate production-ready files to supplier specifications.
  • Ensure correct colour management, image resolution, file structure, bleed, trapping, overprinting, and print finishes.
  • Resize, adapt and repurpose creative assets across multiple formats and product categories, including licensed and non-licensed artwork
  • Produce layouts, mock-ups, and visualisations to support product development and customer presentations.
  • Conduct thorough artwork checks to ensure accuracy and consistency prior to release.
  • Maintain artwork libraries and file management systems in line with studio processes
  • Support designers in the execution of product concepts from initial design through to final production.
  • Create and amend packaging artwork, ensuring compliance with legal, technical, retailer, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Prepare cutter guides, packaging layouts, and technical files for production.
  • Prepare job bags for sampling when necessary, following the studio process and mock up form for correct execution.
  • Prepare job bag for final sign off and production.
  • Liaise with internal teams and suppliers to resolve artwork and print-related queries.
  • Create and adapt artwork for marketing campaigns, point-of-sale materials, catalogues, presentations, and promotional literature.
  • Produce content and assets for digital channels, including website imagery, email campaigns, and social media platforms.
  • Be proactive and actively contribute to New Product Development initiative and ideas
  • Maintain awareness of customer activity and market trends.
  • Meet given deadlines without compromising product quality.
  • Adhere to the Company’s Quality Policy.
  • Follow Health and Safety guidelines and promote a high standard of workplace safety
  • Reasonable work-related requests from the IG Design Group UK Ltd management team.

Key Skills and Attributes:

  • Experience in a reprographics, artwork, or production artwork role
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative suite, including Illustrator; InDesign & Photoshop.
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects and work to tight deadlines
  • Able to perform effectively in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Advanced IT skills
  • Packaging Knowledge.
  • Quick to learn and apply new skills and knowledge
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing business demands
  • Good market & consumer awareness
  • Good Commercial understanding of customer requirements

  • PowerPoint Skills
  • Knowledge of different substrates and applications, including stationery, giftware, home décor, and packaging.
  • Knowledge of Cinema 4d/ Blender would be an advantage.
  • Photography skills
