Full job description

ABOUT HORIZON HOLIDAY PARKS

Horizon Holiday Parks is a growing and ambitious operator of holiday parks across England and Scotland, offering guests memorable outdoor holiday experiences set against some of the UK's most beautiful landscapes. From lakeside lodges to coastal parks, our sites each have their own unique character and charm. We are passionate about sharing that with the world — and we're looking for a talented Content Creator to help us do exactly that.

THE ROLE

This is an exciting, creative opportunity for someone who lives and breathes content. Based at our Dalton Meadows Country Park, you will be the driving creative force behind Horizon's digital presence — capturing, creating, and crafting content across video, photography, and graphic design to showcase our parks at their very best.

You will travel regularly to all of our parks across England and Scotland, working on location to capture authentic, high-quality content that brings the Horizon experience to life for our audiences. This isn't a desk-only role — we want someone who is out there with a camera in hand, finding the angles, the moments, and the stories that make people want to visit.

Just as important as your technical skills is your creative mindset. We want an ideas person — someone who is constantly thinking about what will resonate with our audience, what trends are emerging, and how we can grow our organic reach and engagement across our social channels and digital platforms. You will have real ownership of the content strategy and the creative direction of Horizon's social and digital output.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Video Production

· Short-Form Video: Plan, shoot, and edit engaging short-form video content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts — showcasing park life, facilities, local scenery, guest experiences, and seasonal highlights.

· Long-Form & Promotional Video: Produce longer-form video content including park promotional videos, owner testimonials, event coverage, and development updates for use on the website, YouTube, and in sales and marketing materials.

· On-Location Filming: Travel to parks across England and Scotland to capture footage on location, working with park teams and guests to tell authentic, compelling visual stories.

· Editing & Post-Production: Edit all video content to a high standard using industry-standard software, incorporating graphics, music, captions, and branding in line with Horizon's visual identity.

· Drone & Aerial Content: Capture aerial footage of parks and their surroundings where applicable (CAA drone qualification desirable).

Photography

· Park & Lifestyle Photography: Capture high-quality photographs of park facilities, holiday homes, lodges, outdoor spaces, local attractions, and guest lifestyle moments across all Horizon parks.

· Seasonal Campaigns: Plan and execute photography shoots aligned to seasonal campaigns, promotional events, and marketing calendar requirements.

· Photo Editing: Edit and retouch photographs to a professional standard ready for use across social media, the website, printed materials, and advertising.

· Asset Library: Maintain and organise a well-structured digital library of photography and video assets, ensuring content is tagged, stored, and easily accessible for the wider marketing team.

Graphic Design

· Social Media Graphics: Design visually striking graphics, templates, and assets for use across all social media platforms, maintaining a consistent and on-brand aesthetic.

· Marketing Materials: Create designed assets for digital and print use including promotional flyers, email headers, banners, signage, and presentations.

· Brand Consistency: Ensure all content and designed assets adhere to Horizon's brand guidelines and visual identity, evolving the brand's look and feel in line with the marketing team's direction.

· Campaign Assets: Design graphics and visual content to support specific marketing campaigns, seasonal promotions, park launches, and events.

Content Strategy & Organic Growth

· Ideas & Innovation: Bring fresh, creative ideas to the table constantly — staying ahead of trends on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube and identifying opportunities to grow Horizon's organic presence.

· Content Planning: Contribute to and help manage a content calendar, planning shoots and creative output in line with the marketing strategy, seasonal campaigns, and key booking periods.

· Organic Engagement: Actively focus on growing organic engagement across Horizon's social channels — analysing what works, experimenting with new formats, and optimising content based on performance data.

· Community Management: Monitor and engage with comments, messages, and interactions across social channels, fostering a positive and active online community around the Horizon brand.

· Trend Monitoring: Keep a constant eye on social media trends, platform algorithm changes, and competitor content, sharing insights and recommendations with the marketing team.

· Performance Reporting: Track and report on content performance metrics — reach, engagement, follower growth, video views — and use data to inform future content decisions.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Essential

· Proven experience as a content creator, social media manager, or similar creative role — with a portfolio of work demonstrating video, photography, and graphic design output.

· Strong videography and video editing skills, with proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar).

· Confident photographer with an eye for composition, lighting, and storytelling — both in-the-moment and planned shoots.

· Graphic design skills with experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and/or Canva Pro.

· Deep understanding of social media platforms — Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube — including algorithms, content formats, and best practices for organic growth.

· A genuine ideas person: creative, proactive, and always thinking about what will capture attention and drive engagement.

· Ability to work independently and manage your own workload and content calendar with minimal day-to-day supervision.

· Full, clean UK driving licence — essential for travel to parks across England and Scotland.

· Excellent attention to detail and a high standard of personal presentation in all content output.

· Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with park managers, the marketing team, and senior management.

Desirable

· Experience in the holiday park, hospitality, tourism, or leisure sector.

· A following or demonstrable track record of growing organic social media engagement.

· CAA-registered drone pilot (or willingness to obtain qualification).

· Experience with YouTube content creation and channel growth.

· Basic knowledge of SEO principles as they relate to video and digital content.

· Experience with email marketing platforms and creating HTML email assets.

· Degree or qualification in Media Production, Marketing, Graphic Design, or a related discipline (desirable but not essential — we value demonstrable ability over formal qualifications).

THE PERSON WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Above all else, we want someone with a genuine passion for storytelling through content — someone who scrolls social media and thinks "I could do that better," someone who sees a stunning park view and immediately imagines how to frame the shot, and someone who takes real pride in producing work that makes an audience stop, watch, and engage. Technical skill matters, but creative hunger matters more. If you have both, we want to hear from you.

Pay: £24,995.00-£29,995.00 per year

Benefits:

  • Casual dress
  • Employee discount
  • On-site parking
