The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in capturing intimate moments, and proficiency with industry-standard editing software. Responsibilities

  • Conduct professional maternity and newborn photo sessions in studio or on-location settings, ensuring a comfortable experience for clients.
  • Utilise advanced photographic techniques to capture emotive and high-quality images that meet client expectations.
  • Edit photographs using programmes such as Adobe Photoshop, Capture One, and other Adobe Creative Suite tools to enhance image quality while maintaining natural aesthetics.
  • Manage post-production workflows efficiently, ensuring timely delivery of edited images.
  • Maintain and organise photographic equipment, props, and studio environment to ensure readiness for sessions.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and provide guidance on poses, lighting, and styling choices.
  • Manage social media accounts by creating engaging content that showcases recent work and promotes the studio’s services.
  • Stay updated with current photography trends, techniques, and software updates to continually improve skills and service quality.

Skills

  • Proven experience in maternity and newborn photography with a strong portfolio demonstrating technical proficiency.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Capture One, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, and Adobe Creative Suite for photo editing and video editing as required.
  • Excellent knowledge of photography principles including lighting, composition, and colour correction.
  • Strong editing skills with an eye for detail to produce polished images suitable for client delivery.
  • Ability to manage social media platforms effectively for marketing purposes.
  • Good communication skills to liaise professionally with clients of all ages and backgrounds.
