Empower Me Studio Ltd is a Manchester based photography business working with the established brands Andrew Wood Photography Manchester and Veloura Boudoir.

We specialise in luxury boudoir photography experiences designed to help clients feel confident, empowered and amazing about themselves.

Our clients come to us for more than just photographs. They come for a full experience which includes professional hair and makeup, expert posing, a beautiful studio environment, and a supportive team who help them feel relaxed from the moment they walk through the door.

Many of our clients arrive feeling nervous or unsure, so the right person for this role needs to be warm, reassuring, professional and genuinely passionate about helping people feel good about themselves.

The Role

We are looking for a friendly, confident and talented Boudoir Photographer / Receptionist / Customer Care Assistant to join our studio team.

This is a varied role combining boudoir photography, front of house reception and customer care.

This role will be photographing clients during their boudoir experience, helping them feel comfortable, posed, confident and supported throughout their session.

Alongside photography, you will also welcome clients, support the reception area, answer basic customer queries, prepare the studio, assist with admin and help deliver an excellent client experience from start to finish.

Key ResponsibilitiesPhotography

  • Photograph boudoir and portrait sessions in line with the studio’s style and brand standards.
  • Help clients feel comfortable, confident and relaxed during their shoot.
  • Give clear posing direction in a kind, supportive and empowering way.
  • Work with a wide range of clients, body types, confidence levels and ages.
  • Maintain a professional, respectful and sensitive approach at all times.
  • Prepare the studio, sets, props and lighting before each shoot.
  • Follow agreed photography workflows and file handling procedures.
  • Work closely with the team to ensure a smooth client journey.
  • Retouch photographs and prepare them for the viewing room
  • Help train new members of the team once you are experienced

Reception / Front of House

  • Welcome clients warmly on arrival and help create a calm, friendly atmosphere.
  • Offer drinks, explain what will happen during the appointment and answer basic questions.
  • Keep reception, client areas and studio spaces tidy, organised and presentable.
  • Retouch photographs and prepare them for the viewing room.
  • Help with general studio admin, diary checks and client communication where needed.
  • Act as a positive first impression of Empower Me Studio Ltd and the brands we work with.

Customer Care

  • Find out more about the client, why they booked, and what they would like from their experience.
  • Ask how they would like to feel when they see their final images.
  • Talk through what will happen on the day, including arrival, hair and makeup, the photoshoot and the viewing appointment.
  • Answer any questions or worries the client may have before their session.
  • Reassure nervous clients and help them feel excited, prepared and looked after.
  • Ask about outfit choices, personal props or anything meaningful they may want to bring.
  • Make notes on any important client preferences, concerns or requirements and share these with the relevant team members.
  • Ensure every client feels listened to, understood and confident about their appointment.

Skills & ExperienceEssential

  • Photography experience, ideally with people, portraits, fashion, beauty or boudoir.
  • Strong communication and people skills.
  • Ability to pose and direct clients clearly
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Comfortable using professional camera and lighting equipment.
  • Confident speaking to clients in person and over the phone.
  • Willingness to work on reception and customer care duties, not just photography.
  • Willing to be flexible and muck in as we are a small business

Desirable

  • Experience in boudoir, makeover, portrait or studio photography.
  • Experience working in a client facing luxury, beauty, hospitality or service environment.
  • Good knowledge of studio lighting.
  • Experience using CRM or booking systems.
  • Basic admin and email skills.
  • An interest in social media content creation would be a bonus.

Pay: £12,064.00 per year
