About The Secret Drawer

Established in 1998, The Secret Drawer is a family-run Yorkshire business specialising in bespoke, handcrafted interiors. We combine traditional craftsmanship with thoughtful creativity to create beautiful, individual spaces for our clients.

Our reputation has been built on exceptional quality, personal service and the lasting relationships we develop with our clients. Many customers return to us for further projects and recommend us to others, reflecting the trust and loyalty we have built over many years.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a creative, organised and proactive Marketing Coordinator to join our team and work closely with the owner to develop, maintain and grow The Secret Drawer brand.

This is an exciting hands-on opportunity for an experienced marketer who enjoys combining creativity, relationship building and practical marketing delivery. You will play a key role in developing our brand presence, engaging our existing client base and attracting new customers who value exceptional design and craftsmanship.

You will ensure every aspect of our communication reflects the quality, personality and values of The Secret Drawer — from digital content and campaigns to printed materials, client communications and brand partnerships.

The Role

You will manage and deliver all aspects of our marketing activity, including:

  • Developing and delivering marketing activity to support brand growth, customer engagement and new business.
  • Creating engaging content across digital and print channels that showcases our craftsmanship, projects and brand story.
  • Managing our social media channels, website and online shop, ensuring a premium and consistent customer experience.
  • Planning and delivering advertising, PR, sponsorships and community marketing initiatives.
  • Producing brochures, literature, advertisements, signage and other marketing and brand collateral.
  • Developing client communications, database marketing and targeted campaigns to strengthen relationships, encourage repeat business and generate enquiries.
  • Planning and directing photography shoots while maintaining our project portfolio and image library.
  • Producing regular workshop updates to share the progress of clients' bespoke projects.
  • Managing relationships with external creative partners, photographers and suppliers.

Working closely with the owner to develop, protect and grow The Secret Drawer brand, identifying opportunities to increase awareness, strengthen customer loyalty and support future business growth.

About You

You will be an experienced and confident marketer who enjoys taking ownership, working independently and making a meaningful contribution to the growth of an established luxury interiors business.

You will have a genuine appreciation for design, craftsmanship and beautifully made products, with the ability to communicate what makes The Secret Drawer special.

You will be someone who:

  • Has a minimum of 3 years' hands-on marketing experience, ideally within a premium, luxury or brand-led environment.
  • Is confident managing marketing activity from planning through to delivery across digital and print channels.
  • Has excellent written communication skills, a strong visual eye and an appreciation for premium brand presentation.
  • Is organised, proactive and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently.
  • Enjoys building lasting relationships with customers, partners and suppliers.
  • Takes pride in delivering creative, high-quality work with exceptional attention to detail.

Skills & Experience

You will ideally have:

  • Hands-on experience managing social media platforms, content scheduling and digital marketing campaigns.
  • Confidence managing WordPress websites and online shop content.
  • Strong content creation skills using Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience producing marketing campaigns, brand communications and printed marketing collateral.
  • Experience coordinating photography, creative projects and external suppliers to deliver high-quality marketing activity.
  • A strong understanding of brand consistency, customer engagement and content-led marketing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Why Join The Secret Drawer?

This is an opportunity to take ownership of marketing for an established, respected Yorkshire business with a strong heritage and a clear passion for quality.

You will work closely with the owner and have the opportunity to shape the brand, develop creative ideas and make a visible contribution to the continued growth of the business.

If you are a creative and commercially minded marketer who loves beautiful design, exceptional craftsmanship and building meaningful customer relationships, we would love to hear from you.

This part-time role is based between our Skipton and Ilkley showrooms, working 3 days per week (24 hours) including one Saturday per month.

Salary: £20,000–£23,000 pro rata (£33,000–£38,000 FTE)

To apply: Please submit your CV along with a covering letter explaining why you would be a great fit for The Secret Drawer and this role.
