Overview

MLB Records is looking for a reliable and creative Camera Operator – Music & Social Media Content to work with an independent artist on an ongoing basis.

The role is primarily about filming content, rather than professional videography or filmmaking. You will be helping capture music performances, rapping, singing, social-media videos, creative skits and other content.

You do not need expensive professional equipment. The artist already has an iPhone 15 and an Insta360 GO 3S, and will provide guidance on how the equipment should be used and how the footage should be captured.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys music, creativity and content creation and wants regular hands-on experience in a relaxed and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate an iPhone and Insta360 GO 3S to capture video content.
• Film rapping, singing, performances, skits and short-form social-media content.
• Follow direction and communicate openly about ideas and creative approaches.
• Help capture engaging footage by considering framing, positioning and movement.
• Be comfortable filming different types of creative content and adapting to different situations.
• Bring positive energy and help motivate and inspire the artist during filming sessions.
• Contribute creative ideas and be open-minded when developing new content.
• Work collaboratively and maintain good communication throughout filming sessions.
• Ensure equipment is handled carefully and responsibly.
• Video editing is not required, although basic editing skills would be a bonus.

Skills & Qualities

• Comfortable operating a smartphone camera or small camera.
• Able to learn and follow simple filming instructions.
• Good communication skills and a reliable, professional attitude.
• Creative, open-minded and willing to experiment with different ideas.
• Comfortable listening to and filming a variety of music, including rap, singing and other musical styles.
• Comfortable being around creative performance and social-media content.
• Good attention to framing, positioning and the overall quality of footage.
• Positive, encouraging and able to help create a motivating environment for the artist.
• Interested in music, content creation, performance or creative media.
• Previous filming experience is preferred but not essential.
• Basic video-editing experience is a bonus but not required.

Pay: £20.00-£30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1.0 – 4.0 per week
