SOCIAL MEDIA CONTENT CREATOR

Full Time – 40 Hours Per Week

About Us

Dales Central Motors is a family‑run automotive group with dealerships based in Scorrier and Summercourt. We’ve been serving customers across Cornwall for more than 60 years, and we currently represent a diverse and exciting range of brands including Renault, Dacia, SEAT, CUPRA, Suzuki, Vauxhall, Leapmotor and Geely.

At Dales we offer a comprehensive range of automotive services, including sales, servicing, repairs, MOTs, and parts supply.

We are now seeking a creative, confident and social media driven Content Creator to produce engaging content that showcases all aspects of the business and elevates our online presence.

Role Overview

This role is perfect for a creative and self-motivated individual who enjoys working with people and producing engaging, high-quality content that captures attention. A genuine enthusiasm for cars would also be a real advantage in this role.

You will be responsible for planning, producing and publishing content that showcases our vehicles, showrooms, workshops and parts departments, and that celebrates customer experiences and the Dales brand.

Our ideal content is just as much about the people who work at Dales as it is about the cars, and you’ll work closely with the sales, service and marketing teams to ensure our digital channels reflect everything that our business offers.

Equipment and software required to carry out this role will be provided by the company - including a personal computer, work mobile and content creation tools.

This role is primarily based at our Scorrier dealerships, although flexibility may be required to work from our Summercourt branch on occasion. Transport can be provided where travel is required within working hours.

Key Responsibilities

· Create high quality posts combining video, photo and copy elements to suit a variety of social platforms.

· Capture and edit photo and video for use in this content

· Plan and publish engaging content consistently across all of our social channels.

· Maintain an organised digital asset library including photos, videos and templates.

· Manage the day to day running of social media accounts, including responding to user comments and direct messages.

· Track performance metrics and provide reports on reach, engagement and growth.

· Represent our franchise brands with accurate and brand-aligned messaging.

· Collaborate with sales and service managers to deliver content that promotes current offers, events and seasonal campaigns.

· Support the marketing department in wider tasks such as website updates, email campaigns, print materials and assisting at events where required.

Skills and Experience

Essential:

· Proven experience of creating high-quality social media content (portfolio or examples required)

· Experience managing accounts across social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn

· Strong photography and videography skills

· Experience with video and photo editing

· Excellent understanding of short-form video trends

· Strong writing skills with attention to clarity and tone

· Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

· Confidence in working independently across both dealership locations

· Full UK Driver’s Licence, with confidence in moving a range of vehicles around our sites while producing content

Desirable

· Experience in the automotive industry or a genuine passion for cars and vans

· Familiarity with the brands we represent

· Knowledge of social media analytics and reporting tools

· Graphic design skills

What We Offer

· Full time position - 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Availability for occasional weekend work may be required to support group events (hours worked repaid with time off in lieu)

· Salary

· 30 day Holiday including Bank holidays

· Company pension scheme

· Staff discount for vehicle repairs

· On-site parking

· A friendly and supportive team environment

· The opportunity to work with a wide range of exciting automotive brands and progress your career, with the creative freedom to help shape our company’s digital identity and presence
