Full job description

Boothco is a Tamworth based photobooth hire company bringing creativity and energy to corporate events, brand activations, exhibitions, and parties across the UK. We work with some of the biggest names in the country: Google, Amazon, Gymshark, and 60+ other major brands, and we’re growing our operations team to keep delivering seamless, professional, and genuinely fun experiences.

We’re hiring Events Crew to run our photo booths on site and drive our van to events across the UK. This is a job for someone who genuinely loves being out at events, enjoys driving, and is happy throwing themselves into a long, busy day. No technical knowledge needed. If you’re outgoing, reliable, and up for it, we’ll teach you everything else.

The job in a nutshell

Drive from our Tamworth HQ to the venue (most often London), set up the kit (mainly photobooths), get stuck in with guests and keep them coming back to the booth, then de-rig and drive back to Tamworth. That’s the rhythm.

You’ll need to be: outgoing and great with people, genuinely reliable, and a great timekeeper. If that’s you, the rest we’ll teach.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Setting up and operating our branded photo booths at corporate events, exhibitions, and brand activations nationwide
  • Driving one of our vans into central London and other key UK locations
  • Guiding and engaging with guests in a professional yet fun way
  • Working in busy bursts. We typically run 2 to 4 full event days a week, often long days, with the rest of the week off
  • Lifting, loading, and setting up kit (full training provided)
  • Travelling to events across Europe when opportunities come up (passport holders only)

What We’re Looking For

  • Outgoing and full of energy. You’ll be the face of Boothco at events with hundreds of guests, so you need to love striking up conversation and keeping the mood high
  • Someone who genuinely enjoys events. This is a job for a people person who likes being in the room where it’s happening, not behind a desk
  • Happy behind the wheel. A big part of the role is driving the van to and from events, including into city centres, so you need to be a confident, comfortable driver
  • Up for long days. Event days can be long and physical, with loading, lifting, and being on your feet, but then you get the quieter days back
  • Reliable above all else. When you’re on site with a client like Google, there’s no room for late arrivals or excuses. If we book you, we need to know you’ll be there
  • No technical knowledge needed. If you can hold a conversation and follow a setup, we’ll train you on the cameras, the booths, and all the event tech
  • Full clean UK driving licence held for 3+ years, and confident driving small vans (insurance requirement)
  • A valid passport is a bonus. We occasionally run events across Europe and prefer team members who can travel internationally
  • Any experience in events, hospitality, or customer-facing roles is a bonus but not essential

What We Offer

  • Salary: £28,000 per year to start (£13.46/hour), rising to £30,000 (£14.42/hour) after a successful 6-month probation
  • Enhanced weekend rates. When weekend work does come up, it’s paid at premium rates (1.25x Saturdays, 1.5x Sundays), whether it’s part of your contracted hours or additional overtime
  • A varied week. Busy event days followed by genuine downtime, rather than the same desk every day
  • All travel covered: fuel, parking, and accommodation when needed
  • European travel opportunities for passport holders
  • Full training on our photobooths, DSLR cameras, and event tech. You don’t need any technical background
  • All kit and uniform provided. You turn up, we sort the rest
  • Company pension scheme
  • Team socials and a genuinely supportive crew based in Tamworth
  • Opportunities to work with leading UK brands and agencies, from boardroom launches to festival activations

The Base

Our HQ is in Tamworth, easy reach of Birmingham, Lichfield, and the wider Midlands. That’s where you’ll collect kit, pick up the van, and head out to events. Most jobs are within a 2 to 3 hour drive, with regular trips into London, occasional overnight stays for bigger activations, and the odd trip across Europe.

If you’re dependable, outgoing, and thrive in the fast-paced world of live events, we’d love to hear from you.
