Equipment: Full kit provided.
Start Date: End of August 2026

Job Summary:
Ready to take your photography career to the next level? Gillman & Soame, one of the UK’s leading school photography companies, is on the lookout for a talented freelance photographers based near Bournemouth . You'll have the chance to work in some of the most prestigious schools in the country, capturing iconic portraits and dynamic group shots that families will treasure for years to come. If you’ve got a passion for storytelling through photography, love meeting new people, and enjoy working in fast-paced, rewarding environments — we want to hear from you!

We are initially offering work through September, with the potential for continued work into October and beyond.

Please note: Training days are required and will be held at the end of August.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel to schools in the South of England
  • Set up and take individual and group photographs
  • Confidently use the company’s software to complete daily tasks
  • Ensure high standards of professionalism and quality
  • Interact confidently with children, teachers, and school staff
  • Handle photo data securely and efficiently

Requirements:

  • Must have your own car and full UK driving licence
  • Previous experience in photography (portrait or school photography preferred)
  • Happy to undertake the occasional overnight stays
  • Must be available to travel early mornings
  • Confident, friendly, and professional attitude
  • Must be available full-time for the first 3 weeks of September 2026
  • DBS check will be required
