Marketing & Communications Manager (Wester Ross Salmon)

Wester Ross Salmon, part of the Mowi Scotland group, are currently looking to employ a Marketing and Communicaitons Manager. This is a commercially focused, hands-on role responsible for delivering all marketing and communications activity for Wester Ross Salmon, directly supporting sales growth, customer engagement, and brand positioning in the premium salmon market.

Reporting to the Head of Operations and working closely with the Head of Sales, the role ensures consistent brand delivery, provides direct support to customers and the sales team and leads the execution of marketing projects, content, events and communications.

The position combines strategic oversight with day-to-day delivery - including content creation, customer-facing support, market insight, brand management and coordination of all marketing assets and channels. Hybrid working may be considered, but you would be requied to attend site on a regular basis.

Core focus:
Driving revenue support, protecting the premium brand and ensuring marketing is fully aligned with operations and company priorities.

Job Summary

• Lead and deliver all marketing and communications activity for Wester Ross - supporting brand growth and commercial performance in the premium salmon market
• Provide hands-on marketing support to the sales team - including development of customer-facing materials and participation in customer engagement where required
• Maintain and strengthen the Wester Ross brand identity, ensuring consistent, high-quality messaging across all channels
• Develop and execute a social media strategy, including planning, creating and publishing content aligned with company goals
• Produce engaging content (video, photography, written) to support brand storytelling, customer engagement and product promotion
• Conduct market research and gather customer insights to inform sales strategy and identify growth opportunities
• Plan and deliver trade shows, seafood events and customer visits - including full coordination and execution
• Support and coordinate customer visits - ensuring a high-quality brand experience
• Design and produce marketing materials, packaging and point-of-sale assets
• Manage tag development, ordering and supply
• Maintain and update the company website
• Coordinate chef photo shoots and product photography
• Ensure all communications are aligned with the Head of Operations and reflect company priorities and developments
• Deliver specific marketing projects set by the senior leadership team - with full ownership from concept to completion
• Manage budgets effectively and ensure all activity delivers value and aligns with commercial objectives
