September Start Date!

Inspire creativity. Build confidence. Shape futures.

Many of the young people we support have experienced barriers to education and may have lost confidence in their abilities, future aspirations, or engagement with learning. Through creativity, digital technologies and meaningful relationships, we help young people rediscover their strengths and unlock their potential.

Could you be the person who helps them believe in themselves again?

We are seeking an enthusiastic, innovative and relationship-driven individual to lead our Creative Digital Futures provision, delivering engaging learning experiences in media, games design and digital technologies for young people aged 16–25, many of whom have SEND, SEMH needs or have experienced challenges within traditional educational settings.

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and develop a new and innovative pathway that empowers learners to build confidence, develop employability skills, achieve qualifications and prepare for adulthood.

Our provision offers a nurturing, inclusive and aspirational environment where young people can explore their interests, develop their talents and progress towards further education, training and employment.

You'll have the opportunity to design creative learning experiences from the ground up, creating engaging projects that inspire learners through media, gaming, digital content creation and emerging technologies.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine and lasting impact on the lives of young people.

What the role involves

  • Delivering engaging learning programmes from the Dare2Dream Hub, with occasional outreach and community-based delivery
  • Designing and delivering an innovative curriculum in media, games design and digital technologies
  • Planning, delivering and assessing practical, project-based learning experiences
  • Supporting learners to develop confidence, resilience, independence and preparation for adulthood skills
  • Teaching areas such as media production, digital content creation, photography, videography, animation, coding, games design and creative technologies
  • Embedding employability, teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills throughout learning
  • Creating opportunities for enterprise projects, enrichment activities and real-world experiences
  • Supporting learners to achieve individual goals, qualifications and EHCP outcomes where applicable
  • Working collaboratively with families, employers and external professionals to support positive outcomes
  • Maintaining a safe, inclusive and inspiring learning environment
  • Contributing to the continued development of the Creative Digital Futures pathway and wider Hub provision

Who we're looking for

  • Professionals with experience working with children and young people, particularly those with SEND, SEMH needs or who have experienced barriers to education
  • Individuals with experience teaching, training, mentoring or coaching within creative, digital or technology-related subjects
  • Passionate practitioners who can use media, gaming and digital technologies to inspire and re-engage learners
  • Holders of a minimum Level 3 qualification in Media, Games Design, Digital Technologies, Creative Arts, Computing, Education or a related field
  • Creative and adaptable individuals who can develop engaging, learner-centred programmes
  • Individuals committed to improving outcomes and opportunities for vulnerable young people
  • Full driving licence holders who are willing to undertake occasional outreach delivery and educational visits

Desirable experience

  • Teaching qualifications such as PGCE, QTS, QTLS or equivalent
  • Experience within alternative provision, SEND or Post-16 settings
  • Curriculum design and programme development experience
  • Experience delivering accredited programmes, vocational qualifications or ASDAN pathways
  • Experience using industry-standard software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, DaVinci Resolve, Blender, Unity or Unreal Engine
  • Experience leading creative projects, enterprise activities or community initiatives
  • Understanding of preparation for adulthood frameworks and progression pathways

What you get in return

  • Travel expenses
  • Stakeholder pension scheme
  • Friendly and supportive team environment
  • Thorough induction programme
  • Ongoing training and professional development opportunities
  • Opportunity to shape and lead an innovative new provision
  • Access to resources and equipment required for the role
