Full job description

Love photography, design and working with people?

We are looking for a confident, creative and ambitious individual to join our 5* rated portrait photography studio.

This is not a typical sales role. You'll start by learning how we help families choose and purchase beautiful portrait artwork, while also developing skills in image editing and retouching. After approximately six months, you'll begin training as a professional portrait photographer, making this an ideal role for someone who wants to build a long-term career in photography.

Our studio has over 950 five-star Google reviews and a reputation for creating exceptional family portraits and experiences.

What You'll Do

  • Help clients select and purchase their favourite portraits and wall art
  • Edit and prepare images using Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom
  • Deliver an exceptional client experience in person and over the phone
  • Learn our portrait photography workflow and studio processes
  • Progress into professional photographer training after approximately six months

Working Pattern

A unique full-time schedule averaging at 34 hours per week:

Week 1: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday

This means you'll enjoy four consecutive days off every other week — a rare benefit in the photography industry.

We'd Love To Hear From You If You Have

  • A degree or higher education qualification (creative subjects particularly welcome)
  • Experience in sales, retail, hospitality or customer service
  • An eye for design, aesthetics and visual storytelling
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Confidence working face-to-face with clients
  • A genuine interest in photography
  • A positive attitude and eagerness to learn

Essential

  • Full UK driving licence
  • Own transport (our studio is in a rural location)
  • Available to work alternate weekends

Why Join Us?

  • Guaranteed pathway into professional photography training
  • Learn sales, editing and photography skills
  • Work in one of the UK's most highly reviewed portrait studios
  • Four-day break every other week
  • Friendly and creative team environment
  • Career progression and development

To apply, please send your CV and a short covering letter explaining why the role interests you. Creative portfolios and examples of photography or design work are welcome but not required.

Pay: £23,000.00-£25,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • Company pension
  • On-site parking

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Marlborough SN8 3UU: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Work Location: In person
