Freelance Property Photographer & Floorplan Clerk – Swindon

Pay: £40 per appointment
Appointment length: Approximately one hour
Location: Swindon

About Us

We are an independent estate and letting agency looking for a reliable freelance photographer to help us showcase the homes we sell and let in Swindon.

If you have an eye for detail, enjoy visiting different properties and can produce great photographs and accurate floorplan sketches, we’d love to hear from you.

The Role

You’ll attend appointments in Swindon, photograph the property and draw a floorplan, recording room dimensions.

After each appointment, you’ll send us the original photograph files and your clearly labelled floorplan sketch with measurements. We handle the photo editing and preparation of the finished floorplan.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Taking internal and external property photographs.
  • Using suitable angles, lighting and composition to show each home at its best.
  • Drawing a clear floorplan showing the layout, room names, measurements, doors and windows.
  • Taking accurate measurements using a laser measuring device.
  • Being punctual, friendly and professional with homeowners and tenants.
  • Following our brief and sending the files promptly after each appointment.
  • Treating each property with care and securing it before leaving.

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has photography experience and can share examples of their work; property or interiors experience would be an advantage.
  • Can draw accurate floorplan sketches and confidently measure rooms.
  • Owns suitable equipment, including a camera, wide-angle lens, tripod and laser measuring device.
  • Has access to reliable transport and can travel to appointments across Swindon.
  • Is organised, dependable and comfortable working independently.
  • Has a friendly manner and good attention to detail.
  • Can transfer high-resolution image files and floorplan sketches online.

What You’ll Receive

  • £40 per completed appointment, covering the photography and measured floorplan sketch.
  • You arrange appointments, so stay in control of your diary.
  • Support from a friendly local team.
  • Photo editing and finished floorplan preparation handled by us.

The Reality of the Role

This is a self-employed freelance opportunity, with appointments offered according to business needs and your availability. You will arrange the appointments with the client and therefore can work around your current diary. Work volumes will vary, and hours are not guaranteed.

You’ll provide your own equipment and transport. Each appointment is expected to take approximately one hour at the property.

Pay: £40 per completed appointment
