Wellington School | Permanent | Full-time | All year round
Salary: Wellington’s own competitive salary scale, reflecting the experience and expertise of the successful candidate
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, including a one-hour lunch break, with some flexibility required to meet the needs of this senior role
Start date: As soon as practicable
Wellington School is looking for a dynamic and creative Head of Marketing & Communications to shape how our school is seen, experienced and understood.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead our marketing and communications strategy and play a key role in bringing Wellington’s vision, “Excellence Is Only The Beginning,” to life.
Working closely with the Head, Senior Leadership Team, Admissions and Development teams, you will develop compelling narratives, strengthen our profile and build meaningful engagement with current and prospective families, alumni, staff and the wider community.
You will lead across:
- Marketing and communications strategy and brand development
- Digital, social media and website content
- Content creation, storytelling and media engagement
- Internal communications
- Events, campaigns and experiences
- Publications and prospectuses
- Photography and video content
- Emerging technologies, including AI
We’re looking for an influential, strategic and creative communicator who combines big-picture thinking with practical delivery. You’ll be confident working with senior stakeholders, comfortable managing multiple priorities and passionate about creating compelling content that makes people take notice.
You will bring relevant professional experience in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism or stakeholder engagement, alongside excellent writing and editorial skills, strong digital and social media knowledge and experience of delivering projects successfully.
