Fine Art Embellisher

Location: Clarendon Fine Art Creative Hub
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday

About the Role

We are looking for a creative, organised and hands-on Embellisher to join the Creative Hub team at Clarendon Fine Art.

Reporting to the Studio Manager, and working in a small team you will play an important role in the creation and finishing of our Limited-Edition artwork.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Finishing Limited Edition artwork using a range of painting, embellishing and varnishing techniques.
  • Working with the studio manager to produce the proof copy for approval with the artist
  • Supporting the studio administration process, including preparing Certificates of Authenticity and accurately editioning artwork.
  • Carefully checking finished artwork to ensure it meets the required quality and presentation standards.

Supporting the wider Creative Hub team with a variety of studio tasks as required.

  • Helping to meet production and delivery deadlines while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
  • Adapting your approach and working methods depending on the artist, artwork, and production technique.
  • Maintaining stock levels on all equipment required

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is creative, practical, organised, and willing to get stuck in.

You'll ideally have:

  • A good knowledge of a range of painting and artistic finishing techniques, ideally to at least A LEVEL standard
  • A genuine interest in art and a desire to work within a creative environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work.
  • A flexible and positive approach, with the ability to adapt to different artists, artwork and manufacturing techniques.
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a close-knit team.
  • A hands-on attitude and willingness to take on a variety of tasks when required.
  • The ability to manage changing priorities and work to deadlines.
  • Flexibility around working hours when required to meet important production and delivery deadlines.
