Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Physicist to deliver expert scientific support across the radiotherapy pathway within a modern, high-performing cancer care environment. You will be a collaborative team player with a commitment to safety, continuous improvement and the ability to contribute to teaching, service development and a positive, inclusive culture.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide independent physics checks on treatment plans across a range of techniques and perform patient-specific QA measurements and independent dose verification
  • Support commissioning, acceptance testing, and implementation of new technologies, maintaining robust change control and documentation
  • Contribute to regulatory compliance including IR(ME)R and IRR17, incident investigation, and quality governance processes
  • Collaborate with MDTs to support clinical workflows, provide training and drive continuous service improvement and innovation
