Full job description
Physio.co.uk is part of the Tx Group - a growing private therapy company, providing a variety of health and education therapy services in the North West of England. The Tx Group strives to provide the best possible experience for its clients: through specialist team members offering an exemplary clinical service, support staff providing impeccable customer service and the organisation’s dedication to providing the highest quality clinic facilities and resources.
Physio.co.uk specialises in providing musculoskeletal and neurological rehabilitation services to private individuals, insurers, case managers, solicitors, the NHS and Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) units. Treatment is provided within inpatient rehabilitation units, outpatient clinics and in community settings. We offer a wide range of services and strive to achieve the best results for our patients. Alongside physiotherapy, we also offer additional treatments such as hydrotherapy, constraint-induced movement therapy (CIMT), saebo upper limb rehabilitation, functional electrical stimulation, splinting and treatment following botox injections.
At Physio.co.uk we adopt a patient-centred philosophy and value the importance of teamwork, effective communication, honesty and openness. We provide a professional, safe and supportive environment to facilitate our clients in achieving their goals and realising their full potential.
We are looking for a paediatric neurological physiotherapist (band 6) to join our expanding team. The position will entail working as an autonomous practitioner and managing your own caseload of paediatric neurological clients in a variety of locations: primarily in an outpatient clinic setting but also within inpatient rehabilitation units and the community.
Provision of specialist neurological rehabilitation techniques such as functional electrical stimulation, constraint induced movement therapy, saebo, serial casting, thermoplastic splinting and hydrotherapy may be warranted to support the optimal rehabilitation of clients, alongside the delivery of education and training to parents, carers and relatives. You will also be required to ensure that physiotherapy records are maintained in line with professional standards.
Physio.co.uk has developed a clinical competency programme which relies on input from our band 6 team members, who supply clinical supervision to band 5 physiotherapists and assist with their completion of clinical competencies. An aspect of the role will therefore include providing clinical supervision to band 5 physiotherapists and contributing to in-service training sessions. The role will also incorporate tasks agreed with line managers to assist with service development.
The ideal candidate:
The ideal candidate must have the following:
- Diploma/Degree/Masters degree in physiotherapy.
- HCPC registered.
- Member of CSP.
- Minimum of 2 years of varied neurological rehabilitation experience.
- Experience working with individuals with a range of neurological conditions and a range of impairments.
- Post-graduate experience working within paediatrics.
- Experience providing physiotherapy assessments and interventions for children.
Our ideal candidate will be a dedicated and experienced paediatric neurological physiotherapist, with strong clinical abilities, a comprehensive knowledge of physiotherapy practice and excellent communication skills. They will be passionate about ensuring all clients receive the highest quality evidence based treatments and achieve optimal results. They will have strong interpersonal skills and will be capable of quickly building rapport with children, parents and carers.
Our ideal applicant will be ambitious, motivated by new challenges, proactive and creative in their approach. They will be a highly organised individual who is able to prioritise the demands of their role, work on their own initiative, problem-solve and perform effectively under pressure.
The successful applicant will be a confident, professional and personable individual, who possesses a clear understanding of the CSP code of conduct and other guidelines relevant to the profession. They will be honest, reliable and flexible in their approach to work.
They will be committed to continuous professional development, keen to share their expertise and enthusiastic about developing and bringing out the best in their team members, to allow the service to become the best it can possibly be.
What does it take to be successful in this role?
The Tx Group is keen to invest in its employees and provide any resources individuals may require to be successful at their job. This includes internal and external training, workshops, courses, conferences, equipment and much more.

- Thrive on learning and developing skills.

- Stay true to the organisation’s values.
- Provide an effective contribution to the development of band 5 team members, physiotherapy assistants and to the service as a whole.
