Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Part-time Music Teachers specialising in flute and piano to join our vibrant educational team. The successful candidates will be responsible for delivering engaging and tailored one to one music lessons to children from Reception to Year 8. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about music education, with a focus on fostering a love for music while supporting students' overall development. Applicants should possess strong communication skills, patience, and a genuine interest in nurturing young learners’ musical talents.
Duties
- Deliver high-quality, personalised music lessons in flute and piano, adapting teaching methods to suit individual student needs.
- Develop customised lesson plans that incorporate musical theory, technique, and performance skills.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to encourage improvement.
- Create a positive and motivating learning environment that promotes confidence and enjoyment of music.
- Maintain accurate records of lessons, attendance, and student achievements.
- Collaborate with parents or guardians to discuss student progress and address any concerns.
- Organise recitals or performances to showcase student progress and build confidence.
- Stay updated with current teaching practices and incorporate innovative approaches into lessons.
Qualifications
- Proven experience teaching flute and/or piano, with a strong understanding of musical theory and performance techniques.
- Experience working with children across various age groups, including early childhood education or preschool experience preferred.
- Knowledge of special education needs and behaviour management strategies to support diverse learners.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging students effectively and fostering a supportive learning environment.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods for students with different learning styles and abilities.
- Experience in tutoring or childcare is advantageous, as is familiarity with creative writing or physical education teaching methods.
- Demonstrated organisational skills, including proofreading lesson materials and planning engaging curricula.
- Passion for music education with a commitment to inspiring young musicians through nurturing guidance and patience.
Pay: £50.00 per hour
