Full job description

We are looking for experienced Pipe Fitters to join a major industrial Oil, Gas & Energy project in Royston, UK.

Location: Royston, Hertfordshire, UK

Responsibilities

  • Installation, assembly and maintenance of industrial piping systems
  • Pipe installation according to technical drawings and project specifications
  • Measuring, cutting, fitting and assembling pipes and piping components
  • Installation of valves, flanges, pipe supports and other piping equipment
  • Working with carbon steel and stainless steel piping systems
  • Reading and interpreting isometric drawings and piping layouts
  • Carrying out pipework modifications, repairs and adjustments
  • Working closely with welders, mechanical fitters and other site personnel
  • Ensuring all work meets site safety and quality requirements

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Pipe Fitter / Industrial Pipe Fitter
  • Experience on industrial, power generation, oil&gas, energy, refinery or similar projects
  • Ability to read isometric drawings and technical documentation
  • Good knowledge of industrial piping installation and fitting
  • Experience with valves, flanges, pipe supports and associated components
  • Relevant trade qualifications or certificates are an advantage
  • Valid UK right to work
  • Good understanding of UK site health and safety requirements
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
