2 Year Fixed Term Contract

The role
We’re looking for two Learning & Culture Apprentices to join our Learning & Culture team here at Southern Housing!
Do you want to work in an organisation that puts its people first and provides some of the most vulnerable people a place to live? Do you want to work in a busy customer focused learning and culture team, doing something different every day? If yes, carry on reading. We’ve two roles available; one role will be dedicated to supporting our professional development work including, supporting other apprentices, and the other will be working on projects to support the wider learning & culture agenda. You’ll work with many of the learning & culture team and other colleagues from across the business to ensure the service we offer is meeting the needs of our residents and colleagues.
The successful candidate must be willing to complete a formal apprenticeship qualification while working and learning alongside colleagues in the workplace. The placement and funding to support the qualification will be provided as part of the role.
As an apprentice, you MUST:
- Be willing to study English & Maths alongside their chosen programme (if not exempt)
- Have been working in the UK for the last 3 years
- Not currently be in any other form of education
You’ll be based in our main office in Sittingbourne (L&C) or Croydon (Professional Development), working a minimum of 2 days a week in the office, to be agreed with your line manager.
This is a 2-year Fixed term contract.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting engagement with learning & culture activity by creating innovative and engaging promotional and communication materials
- Carrying out research, gathering information and sharing findings
- Supporting with diary management, events, projects, learning and culture activities across the business
- Utilising various systems, the learning platform, the internet and various applications to support delivery of work and projects
- Responding to customer queries and providing information
What You’ll Need:
- A keen eye for detail and highly organised
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft suite)
- A logical approach to tasks and ability to prioritise
- Complete focus on the customer at all times
- Passion for learning and personal development
- Willing to undertake an appropriate apprenticeship qualification and other learning activity to build skills and knowledge
- Experience of the application of learning
- Great communication skills and ability to build strong relationships
- Creativity and innovation
- Proactive with a drive to seek ways to continually improve services
- Ability and commitment to travel to all Southern Housing locations as needed
